About: Diane Bergstedt LMT

I have have been a massage therapist since 2012 after graduating from the 1000-hour massage therapy program of Academy of Natural Therapy in Greeley, CO. My journey began as a microbiologist when I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Colorado State University in 2011. After my undergraduate years as a premedical student, I began to reconsider my pathway to medical school & decided to pursue my passion for holistic wellness instead. I discovered the benefits of massage through my own experience of using massage therapy for athletic injuries, physical maintenance, & stress/anxiety management. I believe it is important to treat each client as a whole--both mind & body--thus my mission is to facilitate healthy movement & provide a means to mindfulness for each individual in order to guide them into a more healthy lifestyle overall.

I currently reside in Fort Collins where I practice massage in my own home studio. I am an ultrarunner who loves being outdoors, climbing, mountain biking, backpacking, painting/sketching landscapes, yoga, & more. Massage therapy has helped me maintain my very active lifestyle both in movement & mindfulness. I look forward to sharing the benefits of massage with you!

 

 

Where the name came from:

The mountains inspire us to move: we hike, climb, ski, & more. The mountains also inspire us to be mindful of our surroundings: we enlighten the senses when we stop to take a deep breath and absorb what we see & hear all around us. The mountains are a place for humans to return to & reconnect with our peaceful & natural selves. To me, massage therapy can be a model of the mountains. Massage therapy keeps your body healthy & moving for the mountains, yet also refreshes the mind & soul so that we may remember their "good tidings".
